At UC Davis, we strive to make compelling content that is accessible to everyone in our community. When creating videos, it is important to consider technical best practices as well as those regarding accessibility and inclusivity. This means it’s our responsibility to understand how to make content accessible and inclusive and remain committed to learning and updating our practices as technology and industry standards evolve.  

UC Davis video specs

For YouTube and sharing with campus partners, please adhere to the following technical specifications when creating videos about UC Davis:

  • Aspect Ratio: 16x9
  • Preferred Resolution: 3840x2160
  • Minimum Resolution: 1920x1080
  • Preferred Frame Rate: 23.976 fps or 24 fps (30 fps is acceptable)
