Top-level guidelines
These guidelines apply to all UC Davis identity marks, including the Seal, Wordmark, Unit Signatures, Sub Brand marks and marks for programs and initiatives.
- Never try to recreate a UC Davis mark.
- Repro Graphics is Strategic Communications’ official partner in creating campus marks. Any marks created independent of Repro Graphics must be approved by Strategic Communications.
- Never scale UC Davis marks disproportionately. Marks cannot be stretched, squashed or otherwise distorted.
- Never add or take away graphic elements from approved marks.
- Ensure that campus marks are clearly readable in both size and contrast to things around them.
- Observe clear space around campus marks.
- Never use color to split the wordmark or exchange the colors in the expanded wordmark.
More information and usage guidelines relating to specific types of mark can be found in the relevant subsections of this guide.
